BIWA HOLIDAY HOMES

Connecting Local Culture and People with the Next Generation and the World

Omihachima City, located near Lake Biwa—Japan’s largest lake
and one of world’s few ancient lakes—is rich in historical culture.
You can find many traditional Japanese residences and the white-walled warehouses
built by the successful business leaders known as “Hacniman merchants”,
and the ruins of Azuchi Castle where Oda Nobunaga once lived.

BIWA HOLIDAY HOMES (LOCUS Co., Ltd.) participates
in activities related to Omihachiman’s traditional culture including the “Torch Festival”, as well as “marché” (flea markets),
triathlons, and soccer for children with disabilities.
The goal of our community-based initiatives is to cheer up the local communities.

We are committed to connecting culture and people with the next generation
and the world through various activities and the operations of guesthouses.
